Hi, my name is Jose J. Garrido. Most well known as JJ Garrido. I’m a user experience (UX) designer focused on interaction and visual design. I gained experience through small organizations and with the Google UX Professional Certification.
I have been creating websites since 2007, being technical SEO one of my best skills apart from UI design.
I wrote more than 40 articles for the popular wellness and mental health Latin American website: Psicología en Acción. Also, I was the host for the voice-over of 3 motivational videos for the YouTube channel of the same site.
I’m the co-founder of Unitytop LLC, a digital marketing agency based in Houston, Texas.
I decided to get my UX Design professional certificate because I wanted to compact all my skills into one career centered on user needs, resulting in an incredible passion for User Experience.
On April 19th, 2021, I completed my Google UX Design Professional Certification.
My passions are technology, creative design, neuroscience, and I’m a drummer. Oh! I love cats, mostly Maine coons.
I’m very positive and excited to be working in UX Design, along with my other skill set. Every morning I get inspired to create something new. I keep track of the latest trends of UX Design and design tools to get the most of it.
My background is in the computer science industry. Since 2005 I have been working with Windows, Mac, and Linux giving advanced IT support and programming to different organizations.
I’m fluent in English, Spanish and I speak conversational Deutsch.
Actually, I’m living in Panama. I’m inquisitive about things, and I enjoy exploring new places and taking pictures of breathtaking landscapes. Also, I have a passion for understanding the business core and objectives of my clients.
I love to read, and I get inspiration from books related to my skills in creative design, technology, human-computer interaction, productivity, and software. I have a precise ability to find new solutions and perspectives from an actual product, service, or design focused on user needs.
